Chronicles of Totalitarianism 9 - The Nazi International

A. Bilheran, in Antipresse n°331 - April 3, 2022.

The silhouettes of an occult sect run through all of contemporary history.

Are we really sure that we defeated Nazism and closed the file at Nuremberg? How then could we have allowed the personnel, techniques, and ideas of this movement to be sheltered and then recycled in post-war Europe? And why does it arouse so much fascination and denial today?

In an article entitled "The Seeds of a Fascist International"[1], available in French in the book Humanity and Terror [2], Hannah Arendt in June 1945, announced "the perils of tomorrow": while everyone was shouting victory, and "never again", on the still smoking ashes of the war, the philosopher evoked a fascist international, infiltrated like an occult sect, in the supranational institutions of the post-war period. This means that at the very moment when the peoples of Europe believed themselves rid of the foul beast, we were already being warned, at least for those who do not wish to delude themselves too much about the tenacity of those passionate about power.

To understand the reality of the peril, we must remember that totalitarian ambition is that of total domination, particularly in its spatial ambition. Power without authority is pure space, an ambition to occupy all space, which translates in political terms into an ambition for international domination, which is no longer hidden under the guise of the invocation of a "new world order."
