Authority is linked to responsibility, which means knowing how to answer, both for oneself and for the world. This is also how it is linked to the power of speech. Demonstrating authority necessarily means knowing how to answer for one's actions. However, when everyone in the organization disclaims responsibility, they are no longer the author of their actions and take refuge in the anonymity of the crowd ("it's not me, it's everyone").

Harassment in the workplace is a delicate subject to deal with. Moreover, company management and, more generally, all the social actors concerned, seem helpless when accusations of harassment emerge. Most often, it is panic, giving rise to inertia or, on the contrary, to escalation.

Work psychopathology allows us to broaden the perspective of traditional psychopathology, by introducing a reflection on pathogenic work organizations and the psychological and somatic impacts on individuals, without however ruling out an analysis of the collusions between personal history and experience in the company.
