In a first analysis, entitled The Controlled Opposition or the Yellow Union, dated January 21, 2024 in Antipresse, I described the methods for containing political opposition among the people and directing it towards paths that are less dangerous in the eyes of those in power. This popular opposition, thus controlled, must be guided by leaders who will render it, without its knowledge, totally harmless.

Unlike the Colombian people among whom she lives, Ariane Bilheran notes that the French constantly demand their dose of illusions. Recent outbursts of collective hatred and hypocrisy vividly illustrate this addiction.

By applying a psychopathological key to the phenomenon of totalitarianism, Ariane Bilheran has undertaken pioneering work and considerably deepened our knowledge of this phenomenon, which until now had been confined to sociopolitical analysis. As her original vision gradually established itself as an essential approach, it seemed useful to her to return to the origins and inspirations of her idea.

Following our report on "The Dictatorship on the Move!", in the latest issue of "Elements", we interviewed Ariane Bilheran at length, who has just published a very rich Psychopathologie du totalitarisme published by Guy Trédaniel. Among these stories, one has, to my knowledge, never been included in a book. It is entitled Algo muy grave va a suceder en este pueblo: "Something very serious is going to happen in the village."

How can we explain mass adherence to ideologies in totalitarian systems, and the irrational actions they command? More than ten years ago, in my business consulting work, I coined the notion of "delusional contagion" [1] for the literature on psychosocial risks and suffering at work.

Currently living in Colombia, she was one of the first to point out, in March 2020, at the beginning of the lockdown linked to the emergence of the famous Covid, that from the point of view of political philosophy, we were facing a totalitarian drift and, from the psychopathological point of view, a paranoiac delusion.

A specialist in the work of Friedrich Nietzsche, Ariane Bilheran helps us understand the idea of "comfort health" through an observation she makes about the crisis we are experiencing today: "so many people agree to give up their freedom under the cover of a lie, without having a knife to their throat, far from it. Quite simply because many of them aspire to the preservation of their comfort and their privileges, and because they have been chained to them little by little.

This summer of 2021, I had the opportunity to visit France, a country I hadn't visited for several years. It was an opportunity for me to observe a serious deterioration in human relations and values, undoubtedly fertile ground for the ongoing paranoiac decompensation.

To see a way out of totalitarianism, we need to understand how minds have been imprisoned in paranoiac madness. This implies making the phenomenon of delusional contagion[1] intelligible, and to bring to light the unconscious psychic interactions that combine to promote ideology.

Since the beginning of this "pandemic", I had only written a brief article on "health totalitarianism", needing myself to see it clearly enough with hindsight to make a decision. Nevertheless, we can recognize, at a global level, with some nuances depending on the country, the mark of a delusional paranoiac contagion which shows its odious face more and more every day.

Paranoiac delusion has the particularity of being contagious... In this context, the psychological mechanisms at work are notably the collusion between the melancholic core of the paranoiac and the traces of unresolved pathological mourning in the "paranoee". One of the most essential mysteries to be solved in the field of the human psyche lies in the delusional contagion of paranoia. In fact, the only delusion capable of operating by contagion is paranoiac delusion...

It will be a question here of deepening the consequences of paranoia on the protective parent of the child, the risks incurred by the latter and the children themself, in particular, in case of disagreement on the guarding of the child.
